The 10 DO’s and DON’TS of Twitter – Phweeting & the english language
| 4. | DO… Phweet. Phweeting is fake Tweeting. Take a character from popular culture, a movie, a tv show a commercial, a book or anywhere else for that matter. Create a Twitter account for them and start Twittering as if you are them. It’s a riot. It’s creative and there are some great ones out there. Check out Grand Moff Tarkin, Fake Chuck Norris or my personal favourite The Kurgan from Highlander. |
| DON’T… use the Twitter incorrectly. It’s annoying, yes morning talk show people, I’m talking to you. Twitter can be used as a noun or a verb. (ie I like Twitter. or We should Twitter this shit up!) Twittering causes you too create a tweet, which can also be used as a verb or a noun (ie Your last tweet was really interesting or No seriously, let’s tweet this shit up, right here.) Twitting, twote, tweeter, and twat are not part of this verbiage and do not represent any tense of the the act of Twittering. Stop trying. It’s simple. Learn 2 words? You’re done. |
