The 10 DO’s and DON’TS of Twitter – Apps and sucking up the Twitterverse
| 6. | DO… use a Twitter app to make all the previously mentioned things easier. If you’re new to Twitter you probably go to the web site and update that way. If you look at the feed though and read other people’s updates you can see at the end how that tweet got to Twitter. That’s what make Twitter so awesome. You can update it so many ways. If you’re on a computer when you use it, I recommend Twhirl. It makes it easy to add photos, short links retweet and dm and follow multiple accounts at once. Though I also like Twitterfox for my browser. Luckily, all of the various ways of twittering are added as links in peoples tweets, so check out the various options. |
| DON’T… keep accounts open that you don’t plan on using. Especially if the account is not your name. You may have been awesomedude or bushlover or gayrepublican, but if you don’t want to be that anymore, close the account and make room for the future’s awesomedude, bushlover or gayrepublican. Or start using it. I hate when I want to create an account and the username is not available but was last updated a year ago. It’s like you’re saying I’m not an awesomedude when in fact I am! I am an awesomedude. |
